This is my mark making. On Week 8, I tried many different material effects, and they were all very interesting. I will also apply these things to my Zine and Poster.
This is a Zine and research on ocean pollution. Nowadays, there are many questions about the climate crisis, but this time I want to focus on issues related to the ocean. The ocean accounts for 70% of the Earth's surface, and we should pay more attention to this situation. I also hope to make some changes in the future, so I created this Zine.

Mark Making
For the research, I first created a Mind Map for brainstorming, then studied some other works for design analysis, third, I created a Concept Triangle to determine the theme of my Zine, and finally, I created MoodBoard to determine the main color scheme of Zine.

This is my process. I first created a very simple sketch and then refined the illustrations. In the middle, I also modified the font to be clearer and reduced the text content.

The Poster Image
This is my poster, which features a huge fish and school of fish with a lot of garbage underneath. It suggests the fact that people are dumping garbage into the ocean, and the darkness in the ocean indicates that it is being polluted. Here is my poster and the printed physical image.

The Printed Physical Image
This is a photo of my Zine, titled "Where is the blue ocean?" I have chosen "fish" as the protagonist in the work, showcasing the destruction of the marine environment in some special ways. I also explain in Zine what climate environment affects the ocean, what kind of emotions it will have for the protagonist "fish", and what measures people need to take. These are the problems that people need to solve. Here are my Zine drawings and the actual product images I printed.

For this assignment, I am quite satisfied with Zine and Poster's design because I went very smoothly in designing the concept sketch. I had many ideas and viewpoints in this design and quickly completed it. Finally, I also listened to feedback from teachers and classmates and made the final modifications, which were all very smooth. But when it comes to website creation, I have many questions because I have never been exposed to code and website creation before, which has troubled me for a while. However, after asking many people, I still have a rough understanding of how to create this website, which is very fortunate for me. In the future design process, I will raise questions as soon as possible.
